PATHWAYS

There are many pathways into the film industry, some conventional, some less so. And sometimes, taking a first step on that pathway can lead your life in a whole new direction. Pathways is dedicated to the work of community filmmakers, and the communities they work with, and offers a screening space where locally made projects, delivered through various community organisations can reach a wider audience.

 

Films will include two from CRIS: SITUATION VACANT, a dark comedy about jobsearching, and END OF CYCLE, exploring the isolation caused by addiction and mental health issues; SCMP’s SALFORD REVISITED, in which a young man returns from war in Iraq and struggles to rebuild his life with the support of his estranged father, the impact of binge-drinking is explored in WASTED, and a young man with a negative attitude to modern life travels back in time and realises just how lucky he is in YOU CAN’T BUY TIME.
